Buyer

Minterr is always in search for buyers with expertise in apparel and accessories. The buyers will be key members of the team and play an active role in the growth of the company by managing the buying process and contributing to business development opportunities.

 

Ideal candidate will have a wide network of industry contacts, a keen eye for a hot product and a good understanding of retail finance. This is the perfect role for the buyer motivated by the entrepreneurial nature of e-commerce.

 

Responsibilities

  • • Build strong relations and partnerships with vendors and account for agreements
  • • Ensure financial targets in terms of revenues and profitability are met
  • • Regularly visit partners, attend trade shows and networking events
  • • Negotiate buying terms with distributors and suppliers (price, quantity, delivery terms, etc.)
  • • Keep track of industry trends, new brands and products
  • • Work together with internal team members to ensure brand/product consistency is met

 

Requirements

  • • 5+ years of successful buying experience in a multi-vendor environment
  • • Solid understanding of retail financials and product assortments
  • • Proven skills in managing the entire buying process
  • • Experience in creating attractive proposals
  • • Ability to work and remain flexible in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment
