Retail Operations Manager

We're looking for a retail operations manager who is service oriented and passionate to go the extra mile for customers.

 

Sales Performance

  • • Consistently strive to achieve personal and team sales target that is set on a daily, and event basis
  • • Able to upsell through recommendations, exceptional customer service and existing promotions
  • • Generate and analyse sales reports and act accordingly

 

General Operations

  • • Liaise directly with account manager and/or supplier about any inventory/pricing matters.
  • • Coordinate artwork preparation with photography department and printing agency
  • • Support marketing department with social media contests when necessary
  • • Assist Voucher Wow redemption
  • • Manage all store operational issues such as store housekeeping, administrative duties, physical inventories, price changes, etc.

 

Customer Service

  • • Delivering exceptional customer service
  • • Resolve customer problems or complaints by determining optimal solutions
  • • Communicate customer requests to management or customer service associates

 

Manpower Management

  • • Recruit, hire, train, evaluate and counsel sales manpower
  • • Schedule, organize and direct assignments
  • • Maintain, encourage and possess "ownership mentality"

 

POS Management

  • • Maintain and manage the POS/Cashier in the most efficient manner without compromising customer service and minimizing errors in entering prices
  • • Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
  • • Responsible for any shortfall or discrepancy in cash drawer
  • • Manage store revenue, including cash handling, daily settlement and system records

 

Inventory Management

  • • Assist in organizing floor area and store space, delegate tasks during the set up and pick up of goods
  • • Maintain stock replenishments based on sell thru
  • • Participate in stocktake when applicable

 

Visual Merchandising

  • • Ensure interior and exterior of store is maintained to company standards
  • • Ensure all displays are well maintained and are in tip-top condition

Preferred Skill / Work Experience

  • • 5 years' experience in retail management position (e.g. shop manager, area in charge or similar)
  • • Service oriented and passionate to go the extra mile for customers
  • • Ability to work and remain flexible in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment
  • • Good discipline and honest
  • • Good team player, vigilant and energetic
  • • Moderate to Effective communication skills in English and preferably a second language to communicate with different kinds of customers
  • • Well groomed and always observe the good image and reputation of the company
